INTEREST TAKING IN ISLAM:Usury is strictly forbidden.Recently due to downturn in economy, it seems doubtful that Bank of Japan officials consulted the Quran when returning interest rates to ZERO per cent. That hasn't stopped Japanese monetary policy-makers from offering the local equivalent of Islamic banking practices.The Quran,our holy book, forbids charging of interest on loans.
