This Persian calligraphy invokes prayers that are dedicated to our Prophet Muhammed and Hazrat Ali. I think it reads: "O Allah Give your blessings to our Prophet Muhammed and his great disciple Ali. (The Salwaat) Purify our hearts and souls, bless us all, and group us with your virtuous children"

GREATER HAPPINESS OF GIVING:"Give a needy man before he asks for it; for if you place him under the necessity of stretching out his hand, you take from him his self-respect more than the value of your alms- Hazrat Ali." Chairty is lifeblood of human existence.America's 19th century industrilist Andrew Carnegie could have been his country's first billionaire. Instead, he gave away 90 percent of his fortune over a period of 18 years. When the secretary warned him that he was depleting his personal capital, he happily replied,"Delighted to hear it my boy, keep it up." Likewise many billionaries created foundations to help the needy. Look at our own community's doorstep:THE AGAKHAN FOUNDATION. One of the best and helping every charity in the third-world countries.

“ze kooie yaar mi'aiad nasim e baad e Norouzi, az in baad ar Madad khaahi cheraagh e del bar'afrouzi” (Hafiz)
From the land of the beloved one comes the gentle breeze of Norouz, enlighten your heart if you want to receive help from this source of inspiration and love,
"Aan rooz ke paaie mowlaie Zaman be zamin e Badakhshan resid, in rooz Norouz, in maah, noe-maah, in saal noe'saal o in asr noe'asr shod". (quoted from a recorded release)
As our beloved Mowlana Hazar Imam stepped on the land of Badakhshan, today is Norouz, this month is the new month, this year the new year, this era the new era.
Our dear brothers and sisters, Salam. Norouzetaan Mubarak. Please convey our best regards and wishes on the occasion of Norouz and the new year to your family and Jamat. It's customary, on the very moments of the turn of the year, to gather in Jamatkhana, and pray for all the best for the Jamat around the world and we ask ourselves the question our beloved khodavand e zaman wants us to; "Have I done my work?" And we may ask for our beloved Hazar Imam's forgiveness and his prayers for strength in Sirat-almostaghim. And we would beg for Didar, Zaheri and Bateni. Wish you a very happy year and Didar.

I was one of the most fortunate to be able to attend the function in Lisbon. If fact I was also very much involved in darbar hall even though I was from canada. I am still very grateful to Hazar Imam for the wonderful opportunity I had on his 40th Imamat celebration in Lisbon. I have no words to express how wonderful it was being with him. .May Hazar Imam bless everybody with health, happiness, longlife, prosperity and his Noorani Didar to all his murids all over the world.NAVROZ MUBARAAK. LISTEN TO YOUR HEART: We live at a point in history when people tend to judge their own worth and the worth of others by their possesions or accomplishments or positions rather than by good they do or how happy they are within themselves.

Although I am not a Ismaili, I should like to state that the confused purposes of the world dissuade the spiritual aspirant from remainning as dear to truth as truth remains to him or her. Integrity is like a high rockabove which the stormy ocean of worldy troubles cannot rise. The spiritual path is what the Ismaili sect shows me....May I wish you all the best with thie site. Long live Shia Ismaili & my sect ITHNA-ASHARI as well!

TESTIMONY TO FORGOTTEN GRANDUEUR: The world has forgotten the ancient city of Meroe, situated on the eastern bank of Nile River some 130 miles northeast of Khartoum, Sudan. Meroe was once proud capital of Ethiopean Empire. Now it is only a study in decay. Its crumbling temples, vacant palaces, and fragmented art work are but a faint echo of glorious past. The ravages of time, sun, and desert sand have not completely faded the striking colors that adorn the columns. But men in their contricted views on life, is trying to derstroy the great monuments and images, thousands of years old,of Budha! Global culture is inter-mingling.Where would such cleansing end?

EARTHQUAKE:Washington State U.S. Earthquake struck on February 28,2001. On October 17 1989 a month after Harricane Hugo touched the land, northern California was shaken by earthquake measuring 7.1. on the Richter scale.Bridges crashed, buiuldings toppled and thousand either ran screaming from their homes or were paralyzed with fear as the ground rolled and shook for 15 or more seconds. More than a hundred thousand homes were damaged and from several hundred to a thousand were destroyed. A week after the quake, some ten thousand residents of Santa Cruz County were still unable to drive to their homes because of landslide that blocked roads.Death and destruction would have been much greater had builders not adhered to codes mandating quake-resistant construction
