This Persian calligraphy invokes prayers that are dedicated to our Prophet Muhammed and Hazrat Ali. I think it reads: "O Allah Give your blessings to our Prophet Muhammed and his great disciple Ali. (The Salwaat) Purify our hearts and souls, bless us all, and group us with your virtuous children"

THE PURPOSE IN MIND:Purpose always involves and implies mind and knowledge. If you do not have knowledge and purpose you cannot move.Anything you do involves mind and knowledge. When you pick up and throw a stone at something. You know the purpose it invloves with knwoledge-why and what.Universe having been created by one having mind and purpose. Man employs nature for his purpose.Everything in universe has a purpose and mind understands it. That is human mind discovers so many things in the nature and employs them for his purpose, either destructive or constructive. It is not a chance world but a planned world.

Asalaam-alay-kum To be an upright Muslim one should only refer to the Ahle Muhammad for correct Islamic guidance. These are the Banu Hashim. These are concerning Muhammad, Ali, Fatima, Hasan and Husain (RA). Including there respectful decendants who are the 14 infallibles. Remember that on the day of judgement every Muslimeen will have to bow down before Hazarat Abbas (sa) before entering the Paradise. Through him(sa) is every prayer thus granted.

I was glad to find Ismaili web page as I was searching for somthing on Ismiali religion and new development in our religion for the past three years as I live in a very small town where there is no Jamat Khana and only couple of Ismialies living in this town. I admire the good work of those working for this web page.
