Message from the Author of Ismaili Web

Bismillah

This website is an expression of personal faith and has not been commissioned by any organized body and does not represent the views of any institute or board. Also the links are just a conglomeration of related links and the viewpoints expressed are those of the individual websites.

The production and presentation of this website is personal effort and as you can see, still under development. The main purpose of this site is to share with the scholastic, historian and web community a veritable treasure. When you have a valuable jewel, it does little service hidden in a personal vault. When the same jewel is showcased in a museum, the beauty is revered and appreciated by millions.

Allah says in the Quran "do not revile the faith of others as they may revile Allah in return"* and He encourages us to make His message known in the "most beautiful manner"*.

That is the endeavor of this website. If you are pleased with the work or would like to point to related sites, please drop us a line.

* As time permits, I'll be adding the Quranic references and expanding the website and Inshallah with His help, the work will proceed smoothly. In our faith there is no separation from the material and spiritual duties and a true believer has to excel in both. One cannot neglect the daily duties and take refuge in the mosque to pray the whole time or vice versa. As a busy wife and mother of three small children, I need to balance all duties (including websurfing) so nothing goes unattended for too long.

Pray for me and thanks for all the encouraging email. Nina Jaffer

Interesting Link

Since the inception of my website in late 1993, many "official" websites have gone up besides my voluntary and personal effort started then to create awareness in the Ummah (community). I have been debating whether to continue this work, but I get small nudges from visitors that have benefited and I interpret these as signs for me to carry on... I still work full time as an SQM Consultant, and have to do all the activities that go along with being a wife and mother of three girls, and that is why, when I can't create new updates, or even think about how I am going to reorganize this site that has become more than 900 files, an article falls in my lap!

I am just the instrument! He is doing His work!

"I have learned so much from God, that I can no longer call myself a Christian, a Hindu, a Muslim, a Buddhist, a Jew. The Truth has shared so much of Itself with me that I can no longer call myself a man, a woman, an angel, or even a pure soul. Love has befriended Hafiz. It has turned to ash and freed me of every concept and image my mind has ever known." - Hafiz

Please continue your prayers for me and family and thanks for all your ecouragement.
