Imam Hazrat Ali Navroz Mubarak Everyone! The Equinox and Full Moon energies are so amazing!

March 21st is Imam Hazrat Ali‘s solar birthday anniversary! This New Year celebration is significant for Ismailis and the whole Universe, at the pinnacle of the birth of the New Earth!

I am especially happy as this Navroz will be the 28th anniversary of Amaana.org on March 21st 2022! It is so important to share knowledge as beautifully reinforced in this Farman! Alhamduli’Llah!

I wanted to share this very personal happiness with the readers. I was so blessed four years ago when Mowlana Hazar Imam asked the meaning of “Qul” during the Atlanta Mulaqat and I raised my hand up high… And he remarked, “Good, I saw one hand go up. Good. It is, “Say.” Here’s the Farman:

“So I will give you an example; there is an Ayat in the Quran which says, “qul hu-wa Llahu ahad.” Who knows, amongst you, what the word “qul” is? Good, I saw one hand go up. Good! It is, “Say.” But it is addressed to whom, in what circumstances? And why does it come back time and time again in the Quran? It is because Allah is instructing the Prophet to speak. So that is an instruction given directly to our Prophet from Allah to speak, to say, to communicate. So it is important that my spiritual children should understand the meaning of the prayers that you have, the circumstances of these prayers, what they, Insha’Allah, will bring to you, in your happiness in your daily lives.”

The knowledge tradition has been a hallmark of the Shia Imams descended from Prophet Muhammad and Imam Hazrat Ali and have left us a rich legacy that we need to explore, reinvigorate and add to the wisdom evermore!

God made a covenant with the souls before creation
Nowruz marks the first day when the universe started its motion
Adam was created on this day
Prophet Abraham destroyed the pagan idols that were being worshiped by his father and others
The Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (s.a.s.), the night of Layla tul Qadr – Night of Power
Prophet Muhammad took Hazrat Ali on his shoulders to bring down the 360 idols in Mecca
Prophet Muhammad declared Ali as his legitimate successor at Gadhir-e Khumm
Hazrat Ali was born on Navroz (on the solar calendar, the lunar Muslim calendar had not yet been established until the Hijra, the migration of Prophet Muhammad from Makkah to Medina) in the Kaaba that was built by Prophet Abraham and Prophet Ismael (Ibrahim and Ismail)
Hazrat Salman Farsi, Al-Fars (Salman the Persian) converted to Islam on Navroz and used to prepare special sufro (offering of food and sweets) on the day of Navroz for Prophet Muhammad and Hazrat Ali.

The famous poet, Ibn Hani (d. 362/973) has composed many verses glorifying Imam al-Muizz. As we celebrate Navroz, this year I would like to dedicate the following verses to Mowlana Hazar Imam:

“You are Ma’ad, the heir of all the world, and this destiny is finally declared.”

“God’s knowledge is not veiled from you, whereas it is screened from all people.”

“He who named you the best Caliph, is subjecting fate to your desire.”

“O Fatimids, you are the friends of God and you are His kin. In His world you are His righteous agents.”

“He inherited the world from two fathers: Muhammad and Ali.”

The soul of the universeis the sovereign of time,for God has raised upthe body through the soul.When the auspicious Jupitersaw his face, it becamethe source of munificence,the mine of good fortune.As long as the cloudsof Navroz wash all quartersof the garden withshowers of lustrous pearls;and the nightingale lamentsthe rose at the break of dawn,like a grieving soulseparated from its lover:may the authority ofthe sovereign of timeprevail over space and timeand the denizens of the world! –Nasir Khusraw
